Mark attendance for a team member

Record a team member’s attendance status for the day — present, half day, or on leave — from the Attendance daily view.

Before you start

  • Admins can mark attendance for any team member from the web app.
  • Technicians can mark their own attendance from the Servinix mobile app (see below).
  • Go to Attendance in the main navigation.
The daily view shows a summary row of PRESENT, HALF DAY, LEAVE, and UNMARKED counts, followed by a table with each member’s MEMBER, ROLE, STATUS, REASON, and ACTIONS columns.

Steps (admin — web)

Mark a member as present

  1. Open Attendance and confirm the date shown at the top (use Prev / Next to change the day).
  2. Find the team member in the daily table. Members start with status UNMARKED.
  3. In the ACTIONS column for that member, select Present.

Mark a member on leave

  1. In the ACTIONS column, select Leave.
  2. Enter a reason in the REASON field if prompted.

Mark a member as a half day

  1. In the ACTIONS column, select Half Day.
  2. Enter a reason if prompted.

Review attendance by calendar

  1. Switch to the Calendar tab to view a month-level overview of each member’s attendance.

Steps (technician — mobile app)

Technicians mark their own attendance from the Servinix mobile app:
  1. Open the Servinix app and sign in.
  2. Navigate to Attendance or the shift check-in screen.
  3. Tap to mark yourself Present, Half Day, or Leave.
  4. Add a reason if prompted.
The record syncs to the admin Attendance view in real time.

Result / verify

  • The member’s STATUS column changes from UNMARKED to the selected status.
  • The daily summary counts update (PRESENT, HALF DAY, LEAVE, UNMARKED).
  • The Calendar tab reflects the day’s attendance for the member.

Troubleshooting

  • Member not appearing in the attendance list — Confirm the member has been added to a team under Settings → Teams and has an active user account.
  • Status reverts after saving — Check that the member’s team is assigned a shift that covers the current day under Settings → Shifts.
  • Technician cannot mark from mobile — Ensure push notifications and location permissions are granted and the app is up to date.
