Accept and travel to a job

Start travel to your next assigned job, track your route on-screen, and mark your arrival so the job clock can begin.

Before you start

  • Your shift must be active. If you haven’t started your shift yet, tap the shift start button on the home screen first. See Start and end a shift.
  • You must be assigned to at least one job for today. Jobs appear in the Upcoming tab of the job selection screen after your shift starts.
  • Location permissions must be granted for navigation and live distance tracking to work. See Grant location and motion permissions.

Steps

  1. After starting your shift, the app shows your job list with today’s jobs sorted by scheduled time. The next job appears in a hero card at the top of the Upcoming tab.
  2. Review the job details: customer name, service type, address, and estimated travel time.
  3. Tap TRAVEL on the hero card to start travel. The app calls the server to record your departure and opens the EN ROUTE screen.
  4. On the EN ROUTE screen you can see:
    • The EN ROUTE badge confirming your status
    • Customer name and service type
    • The SERVICE ADDRESS section with the full address
    • ARRIVAL — estimated arrival time
    • DISTANCE — miles to destination (live if location is available)
    • A travel elapsed timer in the top bar
  5. To open turn-by-turn navigation, tap OPEN IN MAPS under the service address. This launches your device’s default maps app with the address pre-filled.
  6. To copy the address to your clipboard, tap the copy icon next to the address.
  7. When you arrive at the job site, tap I’m Here. The app records your arrival and moves you to the On Site screen. The job status advances to reflect your presence.
  8. If you need to cancel travel before arriving, tap CANCEL TRAVEL or tap the back arrow. Travel is ended automatically.

Result / verify

After tapping I’m Here, the EN ROUTE screen is replaced by the On Site screen showing the ON SITE badge, the customer name, and service details. A Start work button (or your workspace’s configured label) is now available. You are ready to begin work.

Troubleshooting

TRAVEL button is missing or greyed out: Your shift may not be active, or no job is in the Upcoming queue. Pull down to refresh the job list. Distance or arrival time shows a dash: The app could not resolve your current location or the destination address. Check that location permissions are set to “While using” or “Always” in your device settings. I’m Here fails with an error: You may be offline. The app will retry once connectivity is restored. If the error persists, tap the back button — travel end is also triggered automatically on screen exit.
