Capture customer signature

Collect the customer’s on-screen signature to confirm work completion before closing the job.

Before you start

  • All job tasks must be marked complete and Finish work tapped. This brings up the Wrapping Up screen where the signature prompt appears.
  • Hand the device to the customer to draw their signature, or collect it yourself and ask the customer to confirm verbally.

Steps

  1. After tapping Finish work on the working screen, the app opens the Wrapping Up screen.
  2. If a signature has not yet been captured, tap Capture signature → on the Wrapping Up screen.
  3. The Customer signature overlay opens. It shows the text Sign in the box below to confirm work completion and a clear signature pad.
  4. Ask the customer to draw their signature in the pad using their finger.
  5. When the customer finishes signing, the signature is captured and a preview appears above the pad.
  6. Tap Save signature to confirm and close the overlay. The Wrapping Up screen now shows a checkmark next to Signature captured.
  7. To clear the signature and start over, tap Clear pad before saving.
  8. After saving the signature, proceed with sending a payment link or recording payment to close the job.

Result / verify

On the Wrapping Up screen, the signature line shows Signature captured with a green checkmark. The signature is saved against the job record.

Troubleshooting

Signature pad is not responding to touch: Make sure the customer is drawing directly on the pad area. Tapping outside the bordered area has no effect. Capture signature prompt is missing: The prompt only appears on the Wrapping Up screen after Finish work has been tapped. If you are still on the working screen, complete all tasks first.
