Complete job tasks

Work through the task checklist on an active job, capture photos and notes, and tap Finish work when every task is done.

Before you start

  • You must be on the On Site Working screen. This screen appears after you tap Start work on the On Site screen. See Accept and travel to a job if you haven’t arrived yet.
  • Tasks are loaded from the server when the working screen opens. If the task list is empty and the job has tasks assigned, pull down to refresh or tap Retry if an error is shown.

Steps

Mark a task complete

  1. On the working screen, find the TASKS section. It shows a count of completed versus total tasks (for example, 2 / 5).
  2. Tap a task row to mark it complete. A filled circle icon replaces the empty circle, and the task title is styled as done.
  3. Tasks with a form attached show a clipboard icon on the right. Tapping one of these opens a form sheet instead of immediately marking the task done. Complete and submit the form to mark the task as done.
  4. Tasks are locked once completed. Tapping a completed task shows the message Task locked — Completed tasks cannot be marked incomplete.
  5. If a task with a form must be completed before another form task below it, the app alerts you: Complete previous form first — finish and submit the earlier task before opening the next one.

Capture a photo

  1. Tap the Photo tool in the tools row below the task list.
  2. Use the camera overlay to take a photo. The photo is saved to the job.

Add a note

  1. Tap the Note tool in the tools row.
  2. Type your note in the overlay. Tap Save note to attach it to the job timeline.

Finish the job

  1. When all tasks are marked complete, the Finish work button (or your workspace’s configured label) becomes active. It is disabled as long as any task is incomplete.
  2. Tap Finish work to end the job clock and move to the Wrapping Up screen. From there you can capture a customer signature and collect payment.

Result / verify

Once all tasks are done and Finish work is tapped, the working screen closes and the Wrapping Up screen appears showing the job as complete. The task count in the job list transitions the job toward Payment Pending or Done status.

Troubleshooting

Finish work button stays disabled: At least one task is still incomplete. Scroll through the task list and look for tasks without the filled circle icon. Task list shows an error: The app could not load job details from the server. Tap Retry. If you are offline, the previously loaded task list remains visible — changes are queued and synced when connectivity returns. Form task won’t open: A required form task above it in the list is not yet submitted. Complete the preceding form first.
