View the live fleet map

Open the Live page to see where every vehicle and technician is right now on a real-time map. The page refreshes automatically so you always have a current picture of fleet activity.

Before you start

  • You need a Servinix account with the GPS Tracking module enabled.
  • Vehicles must have a DataLogger device installed and reporting data. If a vehicle shows no location, see Verify device connection.
  • Dispatchers and admins can view all assets. Technicians see their own location through the mobile app.

Steps

  1. Sign in to the Servinix portal.
  2. In the left navigation, select Live. The page title is Fleet Command - Live Tracking.
  3. The map opens showing your coverage area. The panel on the left shows two tabs:
    • VEHICLES — count of active vehicles reporting position.
    • TECHNICIANS — count of technicians currently on shift.
  4. Select the VEHICLES tab to see vehicle markers on the map, or select TECHNICIANS to switch to technician markers.
  5. Active geofence zones are shown on the map. The panel labels them by name — for example, DOWNTOWN, WEST SIDE, INDUSTRIAL PARK — next to the ACTIVE GEOFENCES heading.
  6. To zoom in on a specific area, scroll or pinch the map. Select any marker to open vehicle or technician detail.

Live v2 (FSM-parity sandbox)

The navigation also shows a Live v2 link. This opens the same live map surface (/livev2) built to FSM-parity standards. The Live v2 panel lists individual assets by name and shows when a device was last active (“Device dark since…”). Use Live v2 when testing updated FSM workflows — the data source is the same as the classic Live view.

Result / verify

The map shows colored markers for your vehicles and technicians. The VEHICLES and TECHNICIANS counts in the panel reflect the assets currently tracked. If counts read 0 and you expect active assets, check that the DataLogger device is powered and connected (see Verify device connection).

Troubleshooting

  • Map loads but no markers appear. The vehicle count may be 0 because no devices are actively reporting. Confirm device LEDs and connection status.
  • A specific vehicle is missing. The device may not have reported recently. Open the Resources page to see each vehicle’s last ping time.
  • Geofence zones are not visible. Zones only appear when at least one geofence has been created. See Manage fleet geofences to set them up.
