Manage vehicles and trailers
This article explains how to view, add, and export vehicles and trailers from the Resources page in Servinix.Before you start
- You need Fleet access.
- To add a trailer, at least one trailer resource type must be configured. See Configure resource and device types.
Steps
View vehicles
- In the left navigation, click Resources (under Fleet).
- The Vehicles tab is selected by default. It shows all registered vehicles in a table with columns: RESOURCE, DRIVER, DEVICES, LAST PING, and HEALTH.
- Use the Refresh button to load the latest data.
View trailers
- On the Resources page, click the Trailers tab.
- The table updates to show trailers only. If no trailers have been added, the tab shows a count of 0.
Add a vehicle
- On the Resources page, click Add Vehicle.
- Fill in the vehicle details in the form that opens. Required fields depend on your configured resource types.
- Save the vehicle record. It now appears in the Vehicles tab list.
Export the resource list
- On the Resources page, click Export.
- The current resource list (filtered by the active tab) is downloaded.
Result / verify
After completing these steps, the relevant tab shows your vehicles or trailers with their current device pairing and health status. A newly added vehicle appears in the Vehicles tab. Exported data can be used for record-keeping or auditing your fleet.Troubleshooting
- The Trailers tab shows 0. No trailers have been added yet, or trailer as a resource type is not configured. Check Settings → Resource & device types.
- Add Vehicle button is missing. You may not have permission to add resources. Contact your account administrator.
