Field Service Management overview

Servinix Field Service Management (FSM) is the operational core for service businesses — dispatchers, office staff, and field technicians use it to run every job from first call to collected payment. FSM spans the portal and the Servinix Go mobile app, so the office and field always work from the same data.

Scheduling & Dispatch

Dispatch (/dispatch) is the calendar-style command center where office staff assign jobs to technicians and manage the daily schedule. Dispatchers drag jobs onto technician time slots, move unassigned work from the queue, and reassign jobs as the day changes. The Jobs activity board (/jobs) shows the live status of every work order so nothing falls through the cracks.

Jobs & Work Orders

Each service visit becomes a job that moves through defined lifecycle stages — from assigned to in-progress to closed. Technicians accept jobs, travel to site, work through task checklists, capture signatures, and log time, all from the mobile app. Photos, notes, and custom task forms attach directly to the job record.

Quotes & Invoicing

Estimates (/estimates) is the quoting pipeline. The pipeline health dashboard surfaces at-risk revenue, follow-up queues, and win rate at a glance. Select Create Estimate, pull line items from the Pricebook (/pricebook) — which organizes services, parts, labour, and materials into categories — and send to the customer by SMS or email. When accepted, an invoice is generated automatically and appears in Payments (/payments), where you can collect by payment link, Tap to Pay, or recorded cash or check.

Customers

Customer (/customer) is the contact and site registry. Search by name, email, or phone to pull up a record, view the General tab for contact details and job history, and the Sites tab for service addresses. Add new records with the New customer button. Customer records tie together estimates, jobs, and invoices so every interaction has full context.

Communications & Inbox

Inbox (/inbox) is the unified workspace for SMS and phone conversations with customers. Conversations arrive automatically and can be filtered by All, Unread, Assigned to Me, or Closed. From any open conversation thread you can send an estimate, send a payment link, or use Schedule visit to book a job directly — without leaving the Inbox.

Tech Mobile App

Field technicians work entirely from the Servinix Go mobile app. The Schedule tab shows the day’s jobs and the week strip; tapping a job opens the task checklist, time-tracking controls, photo capture, and customer contact actions. The app queues actions offline and syncs when connectivity is restored, so technicians can keep working in areas with poor signal.

GPS Tracking and AI CSR

FSM connects to the two companion modules. GPS Tracking surfaces technician and vehicle locations on the Live map (/live) during dispatch, so you can see exactly where each tech is when assigning the next job. The AI CSR (Maya) answers inbound calls 24/7, books jobs, and routes conversations directly into FSM — new visits land in the schedule without dispatcher intervention.
