Send an estimate from the Inbox

Send a cost estimate to a customer without leaving their conversation thread. This keeps quoting in context with the conversation that prompted it.

Before you start

  • An estimate for the contact must already exist in Servinix, or you need to create one before sending. See Create an estimate.
  • The contact must have an SMS-capable phone number on their record.
  • You need access to the Inbox and Estimates in the portal.

Steps

  1. In the left navigation, select Inbox.
  2. Open the conversation with the customer you want to quote.
  3. In the conversation panel, select Send estimate.
  4. The Send estimate panel opens on the right. It confirms the send method: Sending to this contact via SMS.
  5. Review the AI-SUGGESTED ITEMS section. If Servinix has suggested line items based on the conversation, they appear here. If no suggestions are shown yet, you can proceed without them.
  6. Under SEND VIA, confirm or change the delivery channel: SMS or EMAIL.
  7. Optionally, add a note in the MESSAGE (OPTIONAL) field to accompany the estimate.
  8. Review the Total shown at the bottom of the panel.
  9. Select Send estimate to deliver it to the customer.

Result / verify

After sending, the estimate is delivered to the customer via the selected channel. The conversation thread updates to reflect the outbound estimate message. You can view the estimate status (sent, viewed, accepted) from the Estimates page in the portal.
