AI CSR onboarding
This article walks you through the 5-step onboarding flow that gets your AI CSR live and answering calls. At the end of all five steps, Maya is active and handling inbound calls for your business 24/7.Before you start
- You must have the AI CSR module enabled on your Servinix account.
- You need Admin access in Servinix.
- Have your business phone number and team contact details ready for the transfer rules step.
Steps
The onboarding checklist appears at the top of the AI CSR operations hub (/receptionist) and stays visible until all 5 steps are complete. You can complete the steps in order or return to any step by clicking Review next to it.
Step 1 — Confirm your business basics
- Go to AI CSR in the left sidebar.
- In the onboarding checklist, click Review next to Confirm your business basics.
- This takes you to Settings → Account & Branding (
/settings/account). Verify your business name, address, and contact details are correct — Maya uses this information to introduce herself to callers. - Save any changes and return to the AI CSR hub.
Step 2 — Hire Maya — pick your AI receptionist
- Click Review next to Hire Maya — pick your AI receptionist.
- You land on the voice selection page at
/receptionist/setup/voice. - Listen to each of the six available voices, then click Hire Maya to confirm your selection.
Step 3 — Review your FAQs
- Click Review next to Review your FAQs.
- You land on the FAQ editor at
/receptionist/settings/faq. - Review the AI-suggested drafts Maya has pre-written, accept or edit any that apply, and add FAQs for your most common caller questions.
Step 4 — Set transfer rules
- Click Review next to Set transfer rules.
- You land on the Settings page at
/receptionist/settings#transfer-rules. - Review the always-on safety rules and add any custom transfer rules your business needs.
Step 5 — Test call — hear Maya before you go live
- Click Review next to Test call — hear Maya before you go live.
- Follow the prompts to place a test call to your configured number.
- Confirm Maya answers, uses the correct greeting and voice, and handles a sample question correctly.
