Ship back your DataLogger
Once you have submitted an RMA request and received the Danlaw prepaid shipment label, follow these steps to safely package and return your DataLogger device. Before you start
- You need the prepaid shipment label emailed to you by Danlaw. If you have not received it, complete the Request an RMA / device return process first.
- Remove the DataLogger from the vehicle before packaging.
- Keep any cables included with your original order — return cables along with the device unless support instructs otherwise.
Steps
- Unplug the DataLogger from the vehicle’s port (OBDII, 6-pin, or 9-pin). Wait for the LED indicators to go off before removing.
- Wrap the device in bubble wrap or place it in the original packaging if available. The device must be protected against shock in transit.
- Place the wrapped device (and any cables being returned) into a sturdy shipping box.
- Print the prepaid shipment label from the Danlaw email. If you cannot print, most carrier locations can print from your phone’s email.
- Attach the label to the outside of the box, covering any old labels.
- Drop the package off at the carrier location listed on the label. The carrier and method are determined by Danlaw when the label is generated.
- Photograph the sealed, labelled package before handing it over. Keep the carrier receipt or tracking confirmation.
Result / verify
After drop-off, use the tracking number on the label to confirm the package is in transit. Danlaw will acknowledge receipt of the shipment once it arrives at their facility, and the RMA status will update in your account.Troubleshooting
- Label is expired or printed incorrectly: Contact Servinix support to request a replacement label. Do not attempt to ship with an expired or damaged label.
- No printer available: Major carriers (UPS, FedEx) can print the label from a QR code or forwarded email. Check the carrier website for their mobile printing options.
- Multiple devices to return: Each device requires its own RMA request and label. Do not combine multiple devices in one box unless explicitly instructed by Danlaw.
