# Run a mileage report

> Generate and export a Servinix mileage report (fleet mileage aggregated by state) for one or more vehicles over any date range, useful for IFTA filings.

# Run a mileage report

The Mileage Report shows fleet mileage aggregated by geographic state, making it useful for IFTA filings, reimbursement calculations, and understanding where your vehicles operate most. The report exports as a CSV file.

## Before you start

* You must have a dispatcher or admin role to access the Reports page.
* At least one vehicle must have an active DataLogger device that has recorded trips.

## Steps

1. In the Servinix portal, select **Reports** from the left navigation under **Management**.
2. Under the **Operations** section, find the **Mileage Report** card.
   * The card description reads: "Fleet mileage aggregated by geographic state."
3. Click **CSV** on the Mileage Report card.
4. In the report configuration screen, set your filters:
   * **Date range** — select the start and end dates for the period you want to review.
   * **Vehicle(s)** — choose one vehicle, multiple vehicles, or leave unfiltered for the entire fleet.
   * **Group** — optionally narrow to a specific vehicle group.
5. Click **Generate** (or **Download**) to produce the file.
6. Your browser downloads the CSV automatically.

## Result / verify

Open the downloaded CSV. Each row represents mileage recorded in a specific state during the selected period. Columns include the state name or code, total miles driven, and the vehicle or fleet identifier. If the file is empty, no trips were recorded in the selected date range.

## Troubleshooting

**No data in the CSV** — Confirm the selected vehicles have a connected DataLogger and that trips were completed (not just ignition-on events) within the date range. Check device status on the **Resources** page.

**Missing states** — The report only records states where GPS trips crossed a state boundary. Short local trips that stay within one state appear only under that state.
