# View fleet diagnostics and incidents

Use the Fleet Diagnostics page to monitor vehicle health signals — battery voltage, DTC codes, and engine load — and use the Incident Reporting page to review safety events such as harsh braking, harsh acceleration, and speeding.

## Before you start

* You need Fleet access.
* Diagnostic data requires vehicles paired with an OBD II device.
* Dashcam-only vehicles appear in the Asset Diagnostic Feed but report fewer data points.

## Steps

### View fleet diagnostics

1. In the left navigation, click **Fleet**.
2. Click **DIAGNOSTICS** on the Fleet Intelligence dashboard, or navigate directly to `Fleet Management > Diagnostics`.
3. Use the time-range selector (**24H**, **7D**, **30D**) to set the window for all panels.
4. Review the summary tiles:
   * **ACTIVE ASSETS** — number of vehicles currently communicating.
   * **DTC ALERTS** — count of active diagnostic trouble code alerts.
   * **CRITICAL ISSUES** — vehicles with critical-severity signals.
   * **BATTERY HEALTH** — average battery voltage across the fleet.
5. Scroll down to the **HEALTH DISTRIBUTION** panel to see how many vehicles are Optimal, Healthy, Warning, Critical, or Unobserved.
6. Review the **BATTERY VOLTAGE TREND** chart for the current and baseline voltage over the selected period. The chart labels the peak voltage (for example, *14.2V PEAK*).
7. Check **Diagnostic Events by Type** to see the frequency of health signals such as Trip Start and Battery Voltage Reading across the fleet.
8. In the **Asset Diagnostic Feed**, review live telemetry for each asset. Columns include **ASSET**, **TELEMETRY SOURCE**, **STATUS**, **DTC CODE**, **ENGINE LOAD**, and **FUEL LEVEL**.
   * Use the filter buttons (**ALL**, **OBD**, **DASHCAM**, **CRITICAL**, **NEEDS ATTENTION**, **HEALTHY**, **UNOBSERVED**) to narrow the list.
   * To search by vehicle, type a VIN in the search field.
9. Click **Export** to download the diagnostic feed data.

### View incident reports

1. In the left navigation, click **Fleet**, then click **INCIDENTS**.
2. Review the summary tiles: **TOTAL INCIDENTS**, **COLLISIONS**, **FCW ALERTS**, **NEAR-MISSES**, and **HARSH EVENTS**.
3. In the **Incidents Over Time** chart, see the daily trend for the selected date range.
4. Check **Incident Mix** to see the percentage breakdown by event type (Harsh Braking, Harsh Acceleration, Speeding).
5. Use the **Severity Heatmap (Time vs. Day)** to identify peak incident windows — rows show calendar weeks, columns show time of day.
6. In the **Incident Log**, review individual events with columns: **DATE & TIME**, **VEHICLE**, **DEVICE**, **TYPE**, **SEVERITY**, **SPEED**, **G-FORCE**, **LOCATION**, **MEDIA**, and **ACTIONS**.
   * Use the vehicle search field to filter by vehicle name.
   * Click **Filters** to apply additional filters.
7. Click **Export** to download the incident log.

## Result / verify

The Diagnostics page shows asset health with HEALTHY, WARNING, CRITICAL, or UNOBSERVED status for each vehicle. The Incident Reporting page shows the total incident count for the selected period and individual events in the Incident Log.

## Troubleshooting

* **All assets show UNOBSERVED.** No data has been received from paired devices. Check that devices are installed and powered. See [Device not reporting data](/gps-tracking/gps-troubleshooting/device-not-reporting).
* **DTC CODE shows "None Detected".** Either the vehicle has no active fault codes or the device has not yet transmitted a diagnostic scan.
