# Enable AI CSR

> Turn on the AI CSR (Maya) module for your Servinix account, including plan requirements, phone number provisioning, and the onboarding starter steps.

# Enable AI CSR

Add the AI CSR module to your Servinix account so Maya — the AI receptionist — can start answering inbound calls for your business. Enabling AI CSR activates the module, then a 5-step onboarding flow gets Maya ready to take live calls.

## Before you start

* You must be an account admin to enable modules.
* AI CSR requires a compatible subscription plan. If the **AI CSR** item does not appear in your portal sidebar, contact [Servinix support](/contact-support/contacting-servinix-support/how-to-contact-support) to confirm your plan includes the add-on.
* You need a phone number connected through Twilio. If you have not set one up yet, you will configure this during onboarding — see [Configure phone numbers](/field-service-management/fsm-settings/configure-phone-numbers).

## Steps

### Part 1 — Activate the AI CSR module

1. Sign in to the Servinix portal at `web.servinix.com`.

2. In the left sidebar, click **Settings**.

3. Under **Billing & Pricing**, click **Account**.

4. Locate the **AI CSR** add-on and follow the prompts to activate it for your plan.

Note for support: The in-portal activation toggle for AI CSR is tied to entitlement at the tenant level. If the customer does not see an activation option, confirm the plan includes AI CSR and escalate to provision it manually if needed.

5. After activation, **AI CSR** appears in the left sidebar navigation.

### Part 2 — Complete Maya's onboarding

Activating the module opens the AI CSR onboarding flow. Maya will not answer calls until all 5 steps are marked complete.

1. Click **AI CSR** in the left sidebar. The operations hub shows a **Get started** panel with 5 steps.
2. Work through each step in order:
   * **Confirm your business basics** — Review your business name, address, and hours so Maya introduces herself correctly.
   * **Hire Maya — pick your AI receptionist** — Choose a voice from six options (Maya, Jordan, Eli, Sage, Casey, Avery). See [Hire Maya — pick an AI receptionist voice](/ai-assistant/setup/hire-maya-pick-a-voice).
   * **Review your FAQs** — Review and edit the FAQ knowledge base Maya draws on to answer caller questions. See [Configure FAQs for the AI CSR](/ai-assistant/setup/configure-faq-for-ai-csr).
   * **Set transfer rules** — Define when Maya should transfer a call to a live person. See [Set transfer rules for Maya](/ai-assistant/setup/set-transfer-rules).
   * **Test call — hear Maya before you go live** — Call the number Maya will answer and listen to how she handles a sample call. See [Make a test call](/ai-assistant/setup/test-call-for-ai-csr).
3. After all 5 steps are complete, the hub shows **Maya is on — Handling calls 24/7**.

## Result / verify

* The AI CSR operations hub at `/receptionist` shows **Maya is on** and displays today's call metrics (Answered, Booked, Transferred, Quality score).
* Inbound calls to your configured phone number are answered by Maya.

## Troubleshooting

* **"AI CSR" not in sidebar after activation:** Sign out and back in, then clear your browser cache. Contact support if the item still does not appear.
* **Maya not answering calls after onboarding:** See [AI CSR not answering calls](/ai-assistant/ai-assistant-troubleshooting/ai-csr-calls-not-being-answered).
