# "Dispatch access required" error

> What to do when the Servinix Dispatch view shows a permission error, including which role setting controls Dispatch access and how an admin grants it.

# "Dispatch access required" error

The Dispatch view shows "You do not have permission to view Dispatch" and the page does not load.

## Why this happens

* The signed-in user's role does not include the Dispatch feature permission.
* An admin recently changed the user's role and the new role lacks Dispatch access.
* The account has only one role (Admin) and the user was not assigned to it.
* The user is logged in to the correct tenant but their role was configured for a different set of modules.

## Try this first

1. Ask an admin to go to **Settings → Roles** in the Servinix portal.
2. Find the role assigned to the affected user and open it.
3. Check whether the Dispatch feature is listed under that role's permissions. If it is not, enable it and save.
4. Go to **Settings → Users**, find the affected user, and confirm they are assigned the correct role.
5. Have the affected user sign out and sign back in, then navigate to Dispatch again.

## If that didn't work

* If the Dispatch permission is enabled on the role but the error persists, ask the user to force-quit the app or browser tab and sign in again. Role changes take effect on the next authenticated session.
* If your organisation needs a separate Dispatcher role, create a new role in **Settings → Roles** with Dispatch access enabled, then assign it to the relevant users in **Settings → Users**.
* If you are unsure which role the user holds, contact your Servinix account admin. Support can verify role assignments if the admin is unavailable.
