> The 5-step onboarding flow to go live with Maya: business basics, hire a voice, review FAQs, set transfer rules, and make a test call.

# AI CSR onboarding

This article walks you through the 5-step onboarding flow that gets your AI CSR live and answering calls. At the end of all five steps, Maya is active and handling inbound calls for your business 24/7.

## Before you start

* You must have the AI CSR module enabled on your Servinix account.
* You need Admin access in Servinix.
* Have your business phone number and team contact details ready for the transfer rules step.

## Steps

The onboarding checklist appears at the top of the AI CSR operations hub (`/receptionist`) and stays visible until all 5 steps are complete. You can complete the steps in order or return to any step by clicking **Review** next to it.

### Step 1 — Confirm your business basics

1. Go to **AI CSR** in the left sidebar.
2. In the onboarding checklist, click **Review** next to **Confirm your business basics**.
3. This takes you to **Settings → Account & Branding** (`/settings/account`). Verify your business name, address, and contact details are correct — Maya uses this information to introduce herself to callers.
4. Save any changes and return to the AI CSR hub.

### Step 2 — Hire Maya — pick your AI receptionist

1. Click **Review** next to **Hire Maya — pick your AI receptionist**.
2. You land on the voice selection page at `/receptionist/setup/voice`.
3. Listen to each of the six available voices, then click **Hire Maya** to confirm your selection.

See [Hire Maya — pick an AI receptionist voice](/ai-assistant/setup/hire-maya-pick-a-voice) for full details on each voice option.

### Step 3 — Review your FAQs

1. Click **Review** next to **Review your FAQs**.
2. You land on the FAQ editor at `/receptionist/settings/faq`.
3. Review the AI-suggested drafts Maya has pre-written, accept or edit any that apply, and add FAQs for your most common caller questions.

See [Configure FAQs for the AI CSR](/ai-assistant/setup/configure-faq-for-ai-csr) for the full FAQ workflow.

### Step 4 — Set transfer rules

1. Click **Review** next to **Set transfer rules**.
2. You land on the Settings page at `/receptionist/settings#transfer-rules`.
3. Review the always-on safety rules and add any custom transfer rules your business needs.

See [Set transfer rules for Maya](/ai-assistant/setup/set-transfer-rules) for guidance on custom rules.

### Step 5 — Test call — hear Maya before you go live

1. Click **Review** next to **Test call — hear Maya before you go live**.
2. Follow the prompts to place a test call to your configured number.
3. Confirm Maya answers, uses the correct greeting and voice, and handles a sample question correctly.

See [Make a test call](/ai-assistant/setup/test-call-for-ai-csr) for step-by-step instructions.

## Result / verify

When all 5 steps are complete, the checklist shows **5 of 5 done** and the status bar reads **Maya is on — Handling calls 24/7 for \[your business name]**. Inbound calls to your configured number are now answered by Maya.
